Automatic time tracking
Automatic time tracking, without a single timer
Timers only work if you remember them. Hourweave tracks time automatically from the work you already do (commits and Claude Code, Codex and Cursor sessions, matched to your Linear or Jira tickets) and drafts your timesheet for you to approve.
Every feature, no card needed. Free plan forever after.
Why Hourweave
Nothing to start or stop
There’s no timer to forget. Your day is drafted from activity, with idle gaps and overlaps removed.
Evidence on every entry
Each drafted entry shows the commits and AI sessions behind it, so you (and your client) can trust the numbers.
You stay in control
Adjust any number, set your own rounding and gap rules, and approve. Nothing is billed until you do.
From timesheet to invoice
Approved time flows into a live client portal and month-end invoices, with payments tracked.
Questions
- How does automatic time tracking work in Hourweave?
- Hourweave reads commit times from GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket and AI coding session times from a small CLI on your machine, then groups the activity into sessions and drafts entries per project and day.
- Can I still log time manually?
- Yes. You can log time by hand, duplicate entries, or import a CSV or Excel export from Clockify, Toggl or Harvest.
- Is automatic tracking accurate?
- It counts active stretches of work and skips idle gaps, and you review every draft before it counts. You can tune the session gap, warm-up time and rounding.
